They are easy as 1,2,3.
1. Decide where to apply the Jewel Wall Art. Even though they are really sticky, they are also re-positionable. Try applying on walls (painted or wall paper surfaces are ok), glass, mirror, canvas, magnet boards, lockers, doors, cabinets… anywhere!
2. Remove the die cut design from the backer piece. Be careful: remove slowly and carefully. It may help to get an extra set of hands as you separate it from the backer.
3. Stick them up! The Jewel Wall Art works just like a sticker! Position grid lines starting at one point of the design, (like the top or bottom) and work your way to the opposite end to ensure that it’s laying flat and as desired. (That extra set of hands is good to have here too, as well as an extra set of eyes to be sure it’s straight!)

TIPS:
*Be patient. The designs are uniquely intricate and can be tricky to hold when preparing to apply to your surface. If it sticks to itself, just carefully pull it apart- it will release.
*Try not to get finger prints on the clear areas of the image. Hold on the black areas.
*After the Jewel Wall Art has been in place for an extended amount of time, the jewels can pop off during removal or normal use. We have provided extra jewels, and can be adhered in place. House of 3 does not guarantee the Jewel adhesion after application.

***Note: Clip Art usage. You can still pull the digital PNG & JPG files into a normal Word Processing program if you’d like to print out images like the PDF Printable files. I love that she made hers a gate fold double door design….clever!

I just absolutely love all of the finishing touches that Dette put on this book to make it her own…here are a few words from her about her project:

It’s no secret…. I am a ScRaPaHoLiC.  Hey at least I can admit it.  I am a full time NICU RN.  I love shopping, decorating, hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach and of course, scrapbooking.  Married to my high school sweetheart and going strong for 12 years.  Mother of one beautiful daughter who is 9 going on 16.  I started scrapbooking in high school but “serious” scrapbooking since the birth of my daughter.  It was all over.  I love the whole creative process of scrapbooking from shopping (which is my favorite part) to the finished product.  I love how scrapbooking brings so many people together and creates a creative outlet at the same time preserving my familys’ memories. I was the project designer for Scrap for a Cure (www.scrapforacure )  They are a scrapbook kit club that gives back a percentage to a charity of the month.  I recently took a dive into the digital world with Rhonna’s digi kits and discovered a whole new addiction… Hybrid Scrapbooking.  Thanks to HOF 3!

I would say my style is definitely GiRly.  It’s a good thing I have a girl.  My inspiration comes from many places (aside from my family of course) from scrapbook celebs, products, mags, galleries and blogs.  I think scrapbooking and photography go hand in hand so it’s only natural that my other passion is Photography. 

I’ve always wanted to create a mini book of my home and saw HOF 3’s HW kit.  We fell in love with our home from the whole architecture to the location where it sits at the end of a court overlooking the rolling hills of  Brentwood, Ca.  I wanted a book that showcased the beauty of our home and what makes it ours.  By creating this book, my family and I can see how much family and friends surrounds us.   How much love, cultural and  family traditions, celebrations, daily schedules and milestones that happen in our lives. I seem to keep adding pages and  pictures to my book.  I hope to pass it on to my daughter and for generations to come. 

The cover with the double doors that mimicks my front door along with the added bling and hambly’s frame transparency cut out is one of my favorites.  I also printed the heart from their Valentines kit onto transparency then added Heidi’s damask sticker  gave way to the HOF 3’s birdcage paper onto canvas media.   Also, I used HOF 3’s digital frames to create floating frames and printing the framed picture on transparency is another one of my favorites of the book.  Just the versatility that HOF 3’s digital kits makes creativity endless.  Thanks for giving me the inspiration to finally create my book that I will cherish forever.

From Mother’s Day to weddings. Or graduations to teacher appreciation. And don’t forget Father’s Day, birthdays & all sorts of gift occasions! Be watching as we share ideas, new kits & photos to help with that Creative Gifting!

First off! Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday! We just released a bunch of french inspired papers, tags & word art that will give just that right touch to your Mother’s Day card or gifts! Oo La La!

First I printed out my supplies. **that’s the fab thing about these kits!**

A. I printed out a bunch of the papers on both sides. Two great things about this
new kit of papers is:

1. There are tons of coordinating papers that look so good together.

and

2. You can print them out as many times as you want!

B. I printed out the Colored Tags onto white sticker paper & cut them out.

C. I printed out the Word art & Tag brushes onto clear inkjet acetate & cut out.

D. I printed out photos: some on photo paper & some on the inkjet transparency. oo la la!

Then, I cut the papers, manilla tags & photos the size I needed them for the 7Gypsies ATC holder.

Added photos, tulle, tags & journaling.

Voila! A Mother’s Day gfit from the heart. I just gave it to my mom today, since she’ll be out of town, & she loved it! I *love* Creative Gifting!

The green paper is in the collection.**You can see the detail with the old french text burned into the Medallion print! Love it! ** On the other side of the card, I have a small doily folded in half going off the edges to add some *interest*.

You can see more detail of the French Oo La La papers! I love this blue designer paper! Check out the delicious florals, subtle ledger print & the old French words burned into the background for a subtle effect!

Another one of my fave papers in this collection. It’s super Springy & then in the corner it has these old French labels & words in it. I used Rub ons for a little message on this card.

The “Love” tag is one of the colored Ledger tags printed off on white sticker paper. I cut it out, folded part on one side & continues on the other side. Love these!

The ‘thank you’ is the continuation of that same tag up above. Then, I added some of the other tags onto this manilla tag.

First lets talk about the supplies you will need:

Shrinky Dink Plastic Sheets, jumprings, your jewelry printable .pdf file from the site, pliers, miscellaneous buttons, your printer and some type of jewelry closure (I used a toggle closure). Now the shrinky dink plastic I used I purchased at Hobby Lobby and it is specifically for inkjet printers. Just read on the packaging and make sure you can run it through your printer…some are not made for that. My plastic was bright white in color and there was a right and wrong side to print on so make sure you read the instructions before printing on it. 

Tips and Tricks that I have found work (as well as some great tips from our customers that have been emailed in….thanks!):

1. Again, make sure you read the instructions that come with the plastic to make sure you print on the right side of the material, if not the ink will not dry and will just wipe right off.

2. I did find that on the bright white plastic the colors were darker than I wanted my charms to be so I did lighten the colors a bit in my print settings…you can also use a clear plastic which I have been told makes the colors truer to what you see on your screen.

3. Punch your holes for your charms before you bake them in the oven.

4. Jumprings was all I needed to put between the charms and buttons but if you were wanting to make more serious jewelry to wear longterm you would want to get some stronger jewelers jumprings. (Michael’s has a good selection of jewelry supplies)

5. Have fun!!! There are endless ways this printable page can be used. Make charms to embellish place cards, gift cards, tags, layouts. Make pendants for necklaces, charm bracelets…there are so many ways these can be used. (Just think of all the cute charms you could make with this brush kit as well.)

….today let’s talk about the Easter Scripture Countdown kits! We offer 2 different kinds: 1 is a PDF printable.

This kit includes a sheet of numbers 1-12 that are super handy for the countdown. And then, there are 2 scriptures (4×6 each) per 8×10 printable PDF page. All come in black so you can just pop some colored paper, cardstock, or patterned paper into your printer, hit PRINT & voila! You’ve got your countdown to work with! *tip: If you want these to be smaller, simply select a smaller % to print out…experiment: try 75% or 50%!

**Bonus: black PNG files, too! These are offered for anyone that needs to just drag & drop over something…or recolor! Super easy!

and the other is an ABR brush kit.

This kit offers 1 ABR brush file that you can load into Photoshop CS /or newer or Photoshop Elements 5/ or newer. **Great thing about brushes is you can resize them & simply select your desired color & stamp onto a blank canvas for printing, digital scrapbooks, over photos or on blogs. Also comes in black PNG files as mentioned above. Each scripture is included as are all the numbers!

So, I wanted to share some ideas here. These scriptures are all from the Bible & cover Jesus’ last week before He was resurrected. We have done this countdown as a tradition as a family since our oldest was about 1 1/2. We all look forward to it. It just really brings the true meaning of Easter into our home & we love it!

Since our earlier version of this countdown is ‘well loved’ it was time to make a new one! This year, I used the Brush kit & resized them to about 2.5″ x 4″ to fit onto a plain manila tag. I embellished them with the Easter Brushes & printed them on clear sticker paper. I cut them out, stuck them on the tags & then added doilies, flowers, jewels, & some of the Easter papers cut out with a scalloped punch! I chose the manila tags this year so I could hang them on our chalkboard wall dangling from blossom branches!

We start on the Sunday before Easter- Palm Sunday & this is #8. Each day we countdown to Day 1…Easter Sunday. We choose the number coordinating with the scripture, read it together & enjoy the celebRation that takes place in our home as we are thinking about what Christ was doing the last week leading up to His miraculous resurrection.

There are so many different things you can do with this kit!

I love what Heidi did with this project! It’s so creative! Notice all of the fabulous details to really celebRate this countdown! …..printing on the Easter papers, sanding edges, using transparency for the numbers, jewels, butterfies, ribbons, flowers…all in a fantastic frame! Sheer genius…again! Love it, Heidi!

So, here’s to day 3….create your own Easter Scripture Countdown! Try it with your own spin on it…We can’t wait to see your projects! enjoy your process!

I love lists!  And…the fact that we can print these off on regular paper, back with chipboard, gum them together & make our OWN pads..well, i am just giddy!

We have some dear friends that are moving away for a few months…into a smaller house on the beach! We will miss them dearly.  They can’t take much with them, but I wanted them to think of us while they are away, so I’ve made a gummed notepad of the Shop List…you *always* need a pad for a list, right? So, even in their cramped space, they will think of us while they are gone!

I used this clamp & adhesive to create the pad. I printed out the House Warming List PDFs on regular paper, cut out a chipboard back, gummed them all together & then used one of the Medallion Journal Spots on the back for a little topper-offer!

so cute, so easy & so fun! I have the Menu, Phone Message & TO DO lists in the clamp now…drying! I love lists!

I wanted to make sure that I posted as much detail as possible for each page so that you could get a feel for the entire book. Some of the photos are self explanatory but on some I will try to give as much info and insight as possible.

Front Cover:

I absolutely love my wreath that dangles from my front door. It was printed on acetate and hung from a small jewelers jump ring. Have you watched the video yet showing you how I created my cover with foam core? If not go there now so that you can see me assemble my entire cover.

Housewarming Project - Janet

This is just an up close version of the spine jewelry.

Page 1: Here I have printed the lamp on a transparency and then layered it over the settee/couch image. I love that image so much…I just wish I had a real couch just like that in my house!!

Page 2: One thing I do want to note on this photo are the different sizes of pages which really give you a nice graduation and depth with your book. I also used several vintage embellishments like buttons and tickets. My favorite thing was typing directly on my photo with my vintage typewriter. 

Page 3:  This page I used some of the digital brushes from the housewarming brush kit…printed it on transparency and layered it over a medallion journaling spot that I printed on Claudine Hellmuth’s Sticky Back Canvas by Ranger. Love the texture it gives anything you print on it.

Page 4: For this page I wanted this ornate frame to have the look of a real mirror so I cut a Darice Mirror out the exact shape of the frame, inserted it and then used rubons over the top of it….I love my ornate mirror.

Page 5: This page was simple but I really wanted it to focus on the photo without covering up all of the fabulous design on the paper Rhonna designed. So I made it span both pages and cut it where the pages would fold. I also knew I wanted it to butt up against the quote so it worked out perfectly!

Page 6: This was an envelope I inserted into my book to hold more photos and journaling…..I love envelopes for ANY project!

Page 7: I have to admit that this is one of my favorite walls in the house. I have my vintage sign letters that spell family and I added the word photos in photoshop under family….because that is one of the major things that makes our house a home FAMILY PHOTOS! I again wanted to focus on the photo so I spanned it across the page and then typed some text on a tag. Simple but it works!

Page 8: This prayer page is a favorite of mine…it is something that I have framed in my house so that I can be reminded of it on a daily basis. I think several of these pages would make awesome wall art…just print them again and frame them and you have instant art. I have something special in mind for the journaling cards in the pocket…but I can’t tell what it is just yet! It involves other people and I don’t want to spoil it just yet.

Page 9: I think what I want to remember most are some of the things that have happend or moments we have lived inside this home, like bringing home 2 of our 3 children to this house….watching them hold their siblings for the first time, birthday parties….all great memories that have happend within these four walls.

Page 10: I just could not resist these little windows….perfect for small photos and quotes. The floor plan paper (Creative Imaginations) was super fun too so I knew it had to be included. I did back all of my pages with another page so that no plain white pages would be showing.

Page 11: I love these big ornate frames….they are the perfect backdrop for photos and this quote fit perfectly right over the top!

Back Cover: To finish my book off I backed a piece of chipboard with two different papers, and then a few artisan labels for the back so that I could remember the date I created this book and sign my initials. Don’t forget to sign your work….your kids will enjoy knowing when and who it was created by.
