What makes our house a home is having the gospel in our home, love and laughter, and getting together as a Family as much as we can. And having an open door to our home!!

Debbie: I love what you said about having an open door, I think that is really important. Email me and put winner in the subject line and we will get you your prize. (janet@houseof3.com)

Thanks!

We raise our two grandkids and we have two more. We all live within 2 miles of each other. When my other children come to visit or holidays arrive they all come to my house. Sometimes I am weary, but when they say, “Gramma, your house is so comfortable!” And, when they all want to have a sleep over…I know I’ve done a good job. I would say the two things that make this house comfy is good food and no clutter….altho we do have that lived in look with the scrapbook stuff all over the large farm table…LOL

Judith: Any house that has scrapbooking stuff all over a large farm table *must* be a great house! wink wink….Love how you talk about your grandkids, I can tell they are loved! Email me your info and we will get you your prize! janet@houseof3.com

Keep those comments coming….we are having a great time reading them ladies.

3:00pm Sunday - FINAL PRIZE!

What makes my house a home is my family. As my boys were growing up, our home was where all of the kids hung out. I loved setting everything up for them to make their own bagel pizzas, icecream sundaes, the sound of them laughing and even having to tell them a zillion times “no horse play in the house!” As they got older, they brought their girlfriends home and always reminded me not to get too attached because at their age they come and go, but I did anyway and everyone getting ready for the dances and proms with my make-up, curling irons, laughing, spraying fake tan, posing for a thousand photos and then “just one more.” Birthdays were a big deal at our house and we decorated everything. When we were really poor, we made the decorations and yard signs. We are all creative and our home exudes all of our personalities. I just entered the empty nest phase and I now look forward to holidays, creating the most awesome care packages, my daughter-in-law coming home from Iraq so we can celebrate. The first birthday cake I baked, we were so poor I “rented” the Wilton pan and practiced for hours before finally making the cake. From that day on, I realized you don’t have to have a lot of money to make your home cheery and fun. Someday I will have grandkids and I’ve always told the boys I would get them all (I want atleast 4) for a week or two during summer break and it would be “Camp Grannyland” with matching t-shirts that we make, bunk beds, slumber parties, and waterparks. My family makes my house a home.

Susi….Camp grannyland sounds so fun I think I might want to attend! ;) Email me your info and we will get your prizes out to you.

Ladies: I just want to say a huge thanks from the bottom of our hearts. We could not have done this event without your enthusiasm and support so thank you for every comment you left for us. We really do want to make this an inspiring place to come and visit and to take ideas away with you that you can use in your own projects. We hope you have had fun and we can’t wait to “see” you in the house again soon!

Home…I have learned alot about what home means over this last year. We moved out of our home of 22 years into a new home in a new part of the state. It has not been an easy adjustment and I really had to step back and ask myself what really means home to me…immediately it was being in a place with my wonderful loving husband. He is my life companion and friend who loves me whole heartedly. Where ever we are together it is home…it turns out it is not the possessions or the beauty of the house…it is being with those you love, together.
    Thanks for asking, Catherine

My son Parker and I make our home TOGETHER - in the little, everyday things such as: snuggle time, conversations at the dinner table, reading books, and eating treats together (he *loves* cookies + cupcakes!). We actually for the last few years have a tradition of calling Saturday and Sunday our “home days”…I’ve caught Parker asking me “mommy, is today a home day today?”. I love it when I can say “yes, buddy…today is a home day!” We love spending the day in our jammies and hanging out at home as a pair!!!

I practically live on this site and amazingly I never read my name when I read this page before. Thank you so much. I am so excited about HO3 that my husband and two sons 20 and 24 know who you three talented ladies are and actually they knew from me being so into your blogs and my very first experience with scrapbooking was taking the BPS class taught by Heidi. They have finally gotten used to the fact that I don’t know much about Hollywood celebrities, but I sure know about my Life Artist, Designers, Educators, and Cutting Edge House of Three “Supastahs!” Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
