What Makes a House a Home…
Home to me my roots, where I come from…but MY house is where I am at any given time. I like to think that scrpabooking makes my house a home, because it goes everywhere with me.
I have ablums, my ipod, my digital keychain, my church, my scrapbook clubs…they all are vehicles to carry my memories with me.
Or is that too deep?

our home is one that is hopefully comfortabe to all who enter- warm and inviting with reminders of family in pictures, albums, wall words, made of logs so it has rustic appeal- it is our haven and one that we so enjoy sharing with others…

there’s the smell of the cookies,brownies,cupcakes,or dinner coming from the kitchen from me and 1,2, or all 3 of my boys cooking or baking with me,maybe fighting over which song we’re listening to; or all of us singing along with it.it’s eating together and talking at dinner.it’s the sound of the screwgun or sander coming from the garage,and 1 of my son’s running inside to proudly show me what they made for their latest
project for school,or their best ever pinewood derby car.it’s carving pumkins together,making gingerbread houses,baking christmas cookies,coloring easter eggs,and finding them hidden along with their easter baskets.it’s being asked who’s the prettiest girl in the world,who’s the best mom in the world,it’s the hugs,i love u,did i tell u about,and guess what?it’s the hug,and the i’m still happy to see you after 20 yrs. of marraige from my wonderful huband.we have built a lot of houses,but these things,the laughter,the singing,bickering,smiles,pets that need a bath or a bone,or someone to pull a string.these wonderful sounds and smells from family and friends is what makes a home. it’s the little things in life

Having my family altogether makes my house a home. With everyone’s busy schedule it is hard to get everyone home at the same time. I like it when we can all sit down and eat dinner together.

Family, food and atmosphere makes my house a home! When my husband, family or friends walk into my home, I want them to smell good things cooking or brewing, nice lamp light and cozy sofa’s and throws to snuggle up in to keep warm in the winter. The atmosphere is important, different things for different seasons. In the summer I like cool fabrics, cool summer foods and the house to be more open and always inviting. I’m always looking for new ideas to make my home as inviting as possible but a hug, a smile and lots of laughter and love are key to making any house a home!

Hey there just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same results.
